How To Get Multiple Backlinks From Article Submissions

One of the keys to ranking well in the major search engines Google, Yahoo!, and MSN is having lots of links to your website. But sometimes it's challenging to get those links – while once trading links was the way to do it, today it's hard to get those links with quality websites. This is partly because there's not a lot of room on those websites anymore, but it's also because reciprocal links, the way backlinks used to be arranged, aren't as attractive to the good sites. You get much more out of a link to a more popular site than they get out of a link from yours.

But if you offer something in exchange, your odds of getting that link go up a lot. The currency of exchange on the Internet is knowledge – quality website content. That's why many webmasters are turning to article submission services to promote their websites.

Using Articles to Get Links

Original articles placed on other websites are a fantastic way to get links back to your site. Not only do original articles showcase your knowledge and skills, they also include something called a "resource box" at the end. This box contains your name with two or three lines of information about you and your business, and a link back to your website formatted in any way you wish.

Services like RCPLinks.com use original articles to place your one-way links. With specialized submission software, they can get your articles, containing your resource box, out to hundreds of websites. Once your article is posted, each of these websites will send out a one-way link to your site from that resource box; even better, the sites your article is placed on have good rankings on Google themselves.

Whatever Happened to Reciprocal Links?

Once upon a time, something like a year or two ago in the fast-moving world of the Internet, reciprocal links in which you agree to link to someone if they link to you were a great way to make your site look popular. But the techs at Google and other search engines figured this out. Their search engines have been cataloguing who links to whom for a while, and it wasn't hard to figure out which pages linked to one another for no discernable reason except to spam links, and exclude those links.
This makes one-way links incredibly valuable. They're the primary link type you can be certain will count for you in the search engine races.

Reciprocal Links: Not Dead Yet

Despite the controls the search engines place on reciprocal links to prevent artificial inflation of your site ranking, there is still a place for reciprocal linking.

Sites that link to one another and that have some similarity in content are the ones that search engines still use to add to your rankings. But you can't do this with an automated submitter, though many online companies would like you to think you can.

Instead, you need to research manually and individually each potential link partner. You'll need to identify the partner, determine the site's suitability and compatibility for yours, and contact the webmaster to propose an exchange of links. This is amazingly time-consuming, but over time trading links can help you build your site ranking.

The best way to get your website jump-started in the rankings is through article submission. In the beginning, you need the web equivalent of a nitric oxide boost, not incremental steps. Trading reciprocal links can come later, when you have more time to devote to climbing in the ranks.

Pop-up Windows: Are They an Effective or Annoying Internet Marketing Tactic?

In the not too distant past, pop-up windows were all the rage for marketing on the internet. Every time we opened a web page, we were bombarded with various offers of goods or services. It had gotten to the point where surfing the internet was like playing a video game-Kill the Pop-ups or Die Trying. When the ads popped-up, we had to try and close them out before another one popped up. It seemed we spent more time shutting down pop-ups then we did actually surfing.

That is precisely why we have seen a decline in the use of pop-up windows on the internet today. Surfers simply disregard the pop-ups and usually just close the window without even bothering to read the ad. Too many pop-up ads can also cause the user to leave your site. You have valuable information to offer, but nobody will see it. Their time is valuable and they are not about to waste it closing out numerous pop-up ads.

Despite these setbacks, studies have shown that pop-up windows remain an effective method of internet marketing.

Is there a way that pop-up windows can be less annoying, yet still be an effective marketing tool?

Yes! Consider placing the pop-up where it can be seen upon exiting your site instead of entering. This allows the surfer to obtain the information they came for without being hassled by frequent advertisements and offers. The surfer leaves your site with a positive attitude and is more likely to respond to the pop advertisement.

This type of ad is known as the pop-under window। Here is how the pop-under works. When the surfer comes to your site, the ad is opened up discretely behind your web page. The person visiting your site obtains the information they came for. Upon exiting, they will see the ad. Now, they are more likely to respond because you have taken care of their needs first. Since the surfer is satisfied that he has achieved his objective, he is now open to other ideas; namely responding to your pop-under advertisement.

Let's talk about some ways that you can make your pop-windows, whether pop-ups or pop-unders, more effective. Here are 6 ways to effective pop-windows:

First and most important, the pop-window should be easy to "escape" from. If the surfer has a hard time closing it out, she will likely become frustrated and leave your site altogether. Either use a button that allows the surfer to close the window or be sure that the "x" is easily visible. Another method of effectiveness is to use a script that utilizes cookies. Cookies will prevent pop windows from overloading the surfer, since they allow you to make a decision regarding the frequency of the pop-windows you use. Thirdly, never use more than one pop-window per page. Four, when choosing the design of the pop-window, you can increase the effectiveness by creating a large headline that addresses benefits to the customer. Also consider using incentives and lastly, do not expect the customer to read a lengthy advertisement.

Keep your message simple yet powerful and your pop-windows are sure to generate profits for your site and happy repeat customers.

How Your Network Affects Your PR Ratings!

It's been long overdue that I've been wanting to talk about how owning a network of web sites, drastically affects your page ranking within Google.

For some of you, you may closely watch what goes on with Page Ranking Within Google with your trusty toolbar, and some of you may not have a clue nor care enough to watch your web site popularity and stay glued to you se ranking like a hawk.

If you've ever considered owning a successful network of web sites, you'll want to start paying close attention as to how your network affects your search positions.

Page Ranking is like an ocean "tide", it comes and goes and then comes back again, feeding a never ending sea of web site owners and keeping them on the shore to watch. What you want to notice is how owning a few "title waves" coming in, will drastically kill your page ranking but increase your search engine saturation.

If you haven't heard the term saturation before, it's merely referred to as the amount of links within your site that gets listed by search engines. So if you have 20 pages within your web site, you should have 20 pages listed in search engines.

If you don't have 20 pages listed, your search engine saturation is lower than it should be and you should concentrate on promoting ALL your pages, not just the main page of your site.

Personally owning a network of sites, and having worked on a network of 180 sites for one client, I've come to the conclusion that if you want to reach a 6/10 Google ranking, don't merely rely on your network to get success
Like I mention in all my articles, search engines are getting smarter and can detect and sniff out a network of web sites created to help one thing, profit.

What you want to do is like I mentioned in a previous article, promote ALL your pages in as many web sites as you can. Find all related material to what you do.

Please don't get me wrong, owning a network is in no way harmful to have. The way a network will work successfully is by at least having one of your web sites already successful and the rest are tailing on it's success.

Trying to start an entire network from scratch is not only ludicrous, it would take a really good chunk of someone's budget just to make sure you would succeed in keeping up with the demand.

All too many times, I see people promote their site for a month or so, realize it's a lot of work and start neglecting it completely. Never give up on your dream, you only have one person to blame, yourself.

Start slow, start with one site. Expand it until you are ready to move onto another on-going project. Always remember that by starting another site within your network will not only bring you more responsibilities but it will be your responsibility to make sure this new web site is successful and that the old one isn't forgotten either.

So in conclusion:
Don't only rely on your network to bring your page ranking up and always look for new sources to improve on promoting all your pages.

Hope this helps all of you!

The Shot Heard Around The World: Google's Endorsement of - Get Google Ads Free!

In April of 2007 "Get Google Ads Free" was launched, and the effect was nothing less than equal to "the shot heard around the world!" Within just weeks people everywhere were talking about it, and other top-notch online marketers were scurrying to sell it as an Affiliate for the company.

But here's a little insight that 99.9% of everyone the world over
doesn't know:

The Product's greatest endorser is none other than Google itself!

That's right. As shocking as it may seem, Google has NO problem with the course that reveals how anyone can get ads on their search engine for Free!

Now, at this point I know you must be curious as to how such a thing is possible, as Google makes its money from the sale of both AdWords (PPCs) and AdSense (where webmasters allow Google to show their ads on their pages).

One might think that any information that revealed how an advertiser could get their AdWords pay-per-clicks free would be damaging to Google, and therefore Google would not want anyone finding out about it, right?

WRONG! It seems that the secret system developed by the retired native New York doctor contains an interesting "twist" that while allowing advertisers to eliminate their AdWords costs, it does not reduce a single dollar in AdWords revenue for Google.

In fact, just the opposite!

I cannot give away the secret here because that's why it's for sale in the first place.

But I can tell you that with the application of what's inside "Get Google Ads Free" that:

- Google loses NO money
- Google actually can make even more M0NEY!
- Advertisers gain an instant almost unfair advantage over anyone
not knowing what's inside "Get Google Ads Free!"
- Advertisers can now afford to outbid their competition!
- Advertisers are not at risk any longer as their advertising
budgets no longer matter!

Wow! And this is just the beginning!

Now, where's the definitive PROOF that Google endorses the amazing system shown in "Get Google Ads Free?"
Therefore, anyone who questions the truth or legality concerning "Get Google Ads Free!" need not fret at all.

Yet, the usual "naysayers" seemed to ignore the obvious fact that if Google had a problem with "Get Google Ads Free!" then we all wouldn't be seeing all the PPC ads at Google each time we type in the keywords and phrases:

- free ads
- free advertising- "Get Google Ads Free"
- free ppc
- free adwords
- "Get Google Ads Free"
- free ppc
- free adwords

And so forth!

Yet, there are many very stubborn, even foolish, among us ...

The Crybaby Syndrome

To be fair, I must also inform you of those who seem to be out to get the company for sharing their amazing secret with the world.

In what seems nothing more than a ploy to get attention, a UK online firm operated by two "wanna-be" law students have a Blog that talks the usual trash about the Product.

The Blog's owner, Rob Scott, talks a big game by claiming the secret system to be nothing short of a scam! He even recklessly throws around the potentially libelous phrase ".con (Oops, I meant .com)" as an attempt at childish humor in order to bash the firm's name.

What's shocking is that this individual is actually a student of law (at least that's what he claims) so one would think that he should perhaps check out the facts before proceeding with such careless remarks.

After all, he admits severally that he "never even ordered the ebook" so how could he truly know one way or the other if it was a valid system - not to mention it is assumed he's at least reasonably intelligent since (according to him) he got into law school, that he would be able to see for himself the firm's Affiliates' ads all over Google, and therefore reason that Google itself is perhaps the firm's chief supporter.

But stubbornness abounds, I suppose.

Ironically Rob says that the only reason he attacks the firm is because "it's a no brainer that this must be a scam," and he got "tired of seeing all those little AdSense ads on his page that people kept clicking on" (which by the way only stood to make him lots of M0NEY!) -- yet he accepts donations on his site as a poor, struggling law student in need of paying for his education, and rather than legitimately earn an income from AdSense with an APPROVED Product.

Sadly, Rob actually censors most of his Blog so that others who wish to post POSITIVES concerning "Get Google Ads Free!" can't even do so. (But what would you expect from a "wanna-be" lawyer?)

He even posts what appears to be an actual response by the firm's lawyer, but which is perhaps nothing more than his own posts disguised and designed to make himself look better (as anyone can see that the dialogue appears "manufactured" instead of genuine).

What some people will do to project themselves as "Savior to the rest of us" and "The People's Advocate." How ridiculous indeed.

Despite the "crybaby" from across the pond, Rob Snot (Oops! I must have meant Rob Scott!) has failed miserably to put even a dent in the firm's sales!

Plus, traffic is on the rise shooting up from an average of 14,000 visitors daily to now well above 20,000 visitors daily (an increase of 42% in daily traffic alone! -- Keep up the good work, Rob!!)

Anyway, don't be dissuaded in your decision to build your online business by eliminating your Google AdWords costs, as the course "Get Google Ads Free!" not only reveals precisely how you can do this, but it goes 10 steps further by giving you all kinds of other amazing strategies I can't even begin to allude to here.

Plus, the e-Course comes with countless resources that go far beyond the usual variety of instantly-clickable extra values!

Lastly never forget that even though quite elderly now, Dr Jon Cohen has even set new records finishing ahead of himself by now
having:

- Grossed over $400 Million in revenues!!
- and SAVED over $100 Million in Google advertising costs!!
- attained a personal wealth above $80 million

...all due to his own system!

Smart Blogging - See How A Blog Can Promote Your Home Business

There are a small number of retailers who truly understand that when you create a blog to promote your home business, it can be an extremely effective way to increase traffic to your business. Proven time and again is the fact that traffic to your site results in more sales for your business.

As a website owner who has their own home business, you will discover that when you create a blog as one of your marketing tools, it is a great way to increase traffic to your website. You can also use blogging to make money as another form of revenue for your business, through adding affiliate links and displaying Adsense ads on your blog.

Have you ever noticed the affiliate links and Adsense ads that are displaying on blogs? This is a great way to gain another revenue stream for your business, not to mention the increase traffic you get back to your site which is another bonus.

Through creating a blog, it gives you the opportunity that will improve the level of customer service you give, by allowing your customers an access to useful information. When your customers can get a better perspective of how you operate your business, they are more likely to buy from you.

Let me put it this way, when I am out looking for a product that I need and a salesperson cannot give me the information that I am looking for on that particular product, I just politely walk away. On the other hand, when I do find a salesperson who can give me all the information that I am looking for on that particular product, I end up purchasing it even if it costs a few dollars more.

Internet marketing works the same way. When you create a blog it will give your customers a better understanding of your service and will strengthen your relationship with your customer (and that should be your goal). Remember, a strong relationship will lead to a successful business.

If your home business is a product sales site, you do not have to blog about your product itself. You need to Blog about the things that are related to your product. For instance, my site is a Christian site on how to get Gods word out to the public, taking different roads and using the internet as a tool. When I start a blog, it is a subject related to getting Gods word out and giving them valuable understanding information according to Gods word.

(Example) If you sell golf clubs, you want to talk about the experience you may have had on the golf course. You can make your customers feel empowered if you inform them to make their own decisions, as opposed to saying, "This is a great product! You should buy it!" The goal here is to smoothly introduce them to your product.
Blogging is a great way to promote your home business, not only does it give you the opportunity to increase traffic, it is also one of the benefits that give you the opportunity to educate your viewers. In turn, you will gain more sales because you are now recognized as an expert who knows what you are doing. Here are four tips to keep in mind when you create a blog.

1. By sharing important information with your viewers, you are gaining customers and giving them a reason to stay on your site longer. It is a proven fact that the more time your customer and potential customer stay on your site, your chances are a lot better they will make a purchase from you. The more your customers return for your valuable knowledge, the possibility is great to make a lot more sales.

2. Your familiar tone of blogging will create a window of opportunity for your customers to see that there is a real person behind your business. The internet is the means of mass communication for conveying ideas or information , by creating a blog you will be adding your own personal nature by what you put into it. This will create that open window of customer trust and loyalty.

3. Get feedback on your site, or your service. Allow your customers to leave comments and find out what changes your customers would like to see on your site and what they would like you to carry. Blogging is a valuable tool, not only do you increase traffic but it lets you communicate with your customers in a friendly way.

4. Why would you create a blog to promote your home business and make it one of your marketing tools? One reason...the links back to your site. These are high-quality targeted hits from the links in your blog. Blogs link to each other as the topics of interest make their way from one blog to the next. Each topic will then point back to the starting place, related topics make comments on each other. As a result, they gain more groups of people that all have something in common and shared interests.

What Does A Blogging Consultant Look Like?

You know, normally you can find a definition of a word or phrase by typing "define: your phrase here" into google and come up with a lot of results. Currently there are millions of blogs and there are hundreds of people who call themselves "Blog or Blogging Consultants", yet when you type "define: Blogging Consultant or Blogging Consultant" into google you get no definition.

That is probably a good thing for most blogging consultants because without a definition, there is no standard to hold them to. I'm not claiming to be the blogging guru of all time or anything of the sort. So before you "blogging consultants" out there start getting defensive about this, think before you write. If you get too nasty about the post I may ask you to define "blogging consultant" and without google many of you couldn't do it.

Now that is out of the way, lets talk business. Every business should have a blog. There are so many reasons for your business to have a blog it would be hard to write them all in one blog post, so lets assume you know your company needs a blog.

So do you hire a blogging consultant? What qualifications do you look for in a blogging consultant? What does a blogging consultant look like? How much should I pay a blogging consultant?

Lets start with "Should you hire a blogging consultant?"

The quick answer is yes, but lets go into why first. There are a lot of things that go into making a blog popular. Technorati tags, submissions and pings to bloglists and blogsearch websites, learning how to get on the right blogrolls, etc.

If you are new to blogging it takes awhile to catch on to most of these things and most blogging consultants say that all of the above is necessary if you are going to have a successful blog.

There are more things to add to the list but this article isn't about how to run a successful blog, it's about blogging consultants. Hiring a blogging consultant can save you from making a lot of early mistakes and get your blog found a lot quicker than trying to do it on your own.

Now all the blogging consultants are liking me again. I can tell. But will it last?

What qualifications do you look for in a blogging consultant?

Here is where things get ugly between me and the blogging consultants. Most blogging consultants are . . . well . . . bloggers. Many of them have what they think is a successful blog although many bloggers have different ideas for what success is.

Some think it's defined as how much they made on google adnonsense last month. Others count success by number of visitors to their website or the number of comments that appear on their blog. Still others measure their success by what the other bloggers think about them.

What do all of those bloggers who are blogging consultants have in common? They all think that having a successful blog automatically makes you a qualified blogging consultant. I told you it was going to get nasty. After this article if I measured my success by what the other bloggers think of me then I'm doomed!

Fortunately I don't measure my success in terms of what the other bloggers and blogging consultants think। Lets get back to those qualifications for a blogging consultant.

First of all a blog is a website. It is a website that is updated often in most cases, but it is still a website. Each blogpost becomes a page of that website. So with a blog you are creating more webpages to your website as often as you post to your blog.

Now I have a question for you. Would you first look to hire a blogger to do search engine optimization for your website? Would you first look to hire a blogger to handle your AdWords campaign? Would you first look for a blogger to build your website for you?

The answer to all of the above is probably no, unless the blogger also has experience in those fields and not just for their blog. Actual websites they have built, optimized, and marketed for themselves and for clients.

A blogging consultant should not just be a blogger. They should also have all of the skills necessary to run a website. Now the blogging consultants are all mad at me again. But think about it. Many bloggers know how to write. They know how to get into the right circle of blogger friends who will link to them. They know about blogging.

So if all you need to know is how to write a blog, then hiring a blogger who knows how to write is the answer, but if you need someone who is going to manage your blog for you including posting to the blog, search engine optimization, link popularity, (and not just from blogrolls), and marketing, then you need to hire a webmaster who also blogs.

Okay, How much should I pay a blogging consultant?

How much do you have? Just kidding. A lot depends on the type of blog you want or have. A corporation blog has to pay more, not because they have more, but because there are all kinds of legal and policy matters that have to be considered with every single blog post and every single link to or from another blog or website. A small business blog doesn't have many of the same issues as the corporate blog, but still has certain standards that need to be met.

If you have ever hired a webmaster, not a web designer, a webmaster, (Thats another article), or a Search Engine Optimization Company, or a Search Engine Marketer, or even just a Marketing Consultant, (The just was in there just so I could make consultants mad again.), then you have an idea of what a blogging consultant should cost.

Now keep in mind, if you are hiring a blogging consultant to strictly teach you how to blog, then it's not worth as much money as when you hire a blogging consultant who is also going to perform all of the services a Webmaster and Internet Marketer would provide plus search engine optimization.

Ha ha! I still didn't say how much it costs. It's coming. Read on.

What does a Blogging Consultant look like?

He or she looks like someone who has more than just a blog or blogs. Someone who also owns and manages several websites for themselves and for clients. As I said before a blog is still a website.

Phishing and Pharming: Dangerous Scams

As soon as almost all computer users already got used to -- or at least heard about -- the word "phishing", another somewhat confusing word appeared. Pharming. Does it differ from phishing -- if yes, how?

Two Pharmings

Actually, two completely different fields use the term "pharming" now. We can say there exist two separate "pharmings".

If genetics or businessmen from pharmaceutical industry are talking about pharming (spelled like that) it might have nothing to do with computers. This word has long been familiar to genetic engineers. For them, it's a merger of "farming" and "pharmaceutical" and means the genetic engineering technique -- inserting extraneous genes into host animals or plants in order to make them produce some pharmaceutical product. Although it is very interesting matter, this article isn't about it.

As for PC users, the term "pharming" recently emerged to denote exploitation of a vulnerability in the DNS server software caused by malicious code. This code allows the cybercriminal who contaminated this PC with it to redirect traffic from one IP-address to the one he specified. In other words, a user who types in a URL goes to another web site, not the one he wanted to--and isn't supposed to notice the difference.

Usually such a website is disguised to look like a legitimate one -- of a bank or a credit card company. Sites of this kind are used solely to steal users' confidential information such as passwords, PIN numbers, SSNs and account numbers.

Dangerous Scams

A fake website that's what "traditional" phishing has in common with pharming. This scam can fool even an experienced computer user, and it makes pharming a grave threat. The danger here is that users don't click an email link to get to a counterfeit website.

Most people enter their personal information, unaware of possible fraud. Why should they suspect anything if they type the URL themselves, not following any links in a suspiciously-looking email?

Unfortunately, "ordinary" phishers are also getting smarter. They eagerly learn; there is too much money involved to make criminals earnest students. At first phishing consisted only of a social engineering scam in which phishers spammed consumer e-mail accounts with letters ostensibly from banks. The more people got aware of the scam, the less spelling mistakes these messages contained, and the more fraudulent websites looked like legitimate ones.

Since about November 2004 there has been a lot of publications of a scheme which at first was seen as a new kind of phishing. This technique includes contaminating a PC with a Trojan horse program. The problem is that this Trojan contains a keylogger which lurks at the background until the user of the infected PC visits one of the specified websites. Then the keylogger comes to life to do what it was created for -- to steal information.

It seems that this technique is actually a separate scam aimed at stealing personal information and such attacks are on the rise. Security vendor Symantec warns about commercialisation of malware -- cybercriminals prefer cash to fun, so various kinds of information-stealing software are used more actively.

Spy Audit survey made by ISP Earthlink and Webroot Software also shows disturbing figures - 33.17% PCs contaminated with some program with information stealing capability.

However, more sophisticated identity theft attempts coexist with "old-fashioned" phishing scams. That is why users should not forget the advice which they all are likely to have learned by heart:

  • Never follow a link in an email, if it claims to be from a financial institution

  • Never open an attachment if the email is from somebody you don't know

  • Protect your PC from malware

  • Stay on the alert

Domain Name Hosting Requirements

Are you familiar with domain name hosting? Well, I know that not all people are familiar about this thing, so it is then a nice move to present the overall idea behind the domain name hosting. So here it is.

The domain name hosting is basically a service that gives the domain name customers with space on the domain hosts computers which are known as the servers. But why these are called as servers? It is perhaps for the main reason that they serve the information that they hold to the web. As such, anyone that is accessing the internet can see their site.

Essentially, the term domain name hosting is somewhat synonymous with the concept of web hosting. There are some typical instances that the domain name hosting companies offer e-mails to go along with the domain name hosting account. With this function, the domain name holder then is allowed to welcome an e-mail by applying their domain name.

Today, as the concept of the domain name rapidly becomes so common in virtual reality, many of the companies that cater to domain name hosting are now operating online with several products and pricing that vary globally. However, it is still an important consideration to know that a particular domain name hosting company that you are using has been around for a while as these companies regularly come and go.

In relation to that, most of the domain name consumers, especially those domain name registrants are now pointing their Domain Name System to a domain name hosting company. So for that matter, most of the domain name hosting companies attaches the requested domain name on the code that the user then uploaded to their site online, and this process is usually done through the FTP or File Transfer protocol. With that, it is then great for the domain name hosting companies to allow the internet users to fully access the server and so to view the web site.

And since there are multiple companies of this sort, it is then nice to know that the domain name hosting companies are usually offering several levels of service. In particular, the small companies on the web that have no multiple mode for traffic usually don't use up much space on the server and even not a lot of bandwidth for the main reason that many of the internet users today are looking at the web site. So, it is then understandable that a small domain name hosting account is not very expensive. On the other hand, those large websites then offer a lot of server space and a lot of bandwidth. The cost for this kind of domain name service is accordingly very much expensive.

Blog your way to profits

Everybody has picked up the trend of blogging. And blogging has picked up the money-making scheme.
If you have a blog and have not used that to make money online, then you are being left behind by the others who are already making some good profits from blogs.

How do they do that?

Selling advertising though blogs.

This is the most common ways of making blogs produce income. The process is simple. If your blog is one of those more famous and well-read, you can it to sell ad space all by yourself. But for those not so famous blogs, there are services that can be used to set up an ad program. The widely used one is Adsense.

Adsense lets you choose some ads that are somewhat related to what your site is about. You are then paid based on the number of the readers that clicked on the ads to check them out. Why people opt for Adsense is because they can get it for free.

Blogs as an affiliate program.

This is another one of those click-through opportunities। This allows blogs to serve as a medium between the affiliate sites and the readers. When a visitor became interested on something that you have promoted on your blogs, they can click on the link that you have provided that will lead directly to the affiliate site.

Once the customer has decided to buy or avail of what is offered, you will get a commission based on the sale made.

Soliciting though blogs.

As opposed to the first two mentioned, you are not offering something to your readers. On the contrary, you are counting on their kindness and seeking out their help. You can ask for contributions, whether money or goods, for a certain cause.

If your readers are taken or is moved by what you have written, there is a likely possibility that they will be more than willing to help you.

Blogging to market.

Blogs are a way of generating new businesses and getting potential customers. If you already have a product or service being offered, you can try and offer more and new things though blogs.

They can be your own or in reference to other site or business that you want to offer your readers.
With the publicity that blogs are getting nowadays, there is no doubt that it has become one of the most effective income generating tool online today.

Help! My Blog is Boring!

o you have this really great idea to start a blog on a particular niche. And perhaps, maybe you even want to make some revenue off of AdSense, Clicksor, or other contextual advertising. Super. You've wrote your heart out and posted some blog content. Great! No problems there. But what do you do to keep the content fresh and insightful? Are you feeling that the content you offer on your blog just "lacks"? Is your blog boring? Maybe you can't even pinpoint what exactly is "lacking", but you just feel it. Possibly, you just do not have the time to put forth to writing 1000 word articles every couple days. If this is you, it is time you look into using other people's articles!

"WHAT?" you say. No, I am not suggesting you steal or copy others articles. However, I am suggesting that you utilize websites that offer free web content on your particular niche. There are many free web content sites or 'article directories' that offer free articles for you to use on your blog or website. You are able to use these articles totally free without a problem. The only thing you are required is to give credit to the author who wrote the article. Fair enough?

Now you ask, "Why would I want to use someone else's articles? How lame is that?!" It's actually not lame at all। Think about it. There are thousands of other people offering new, unique insight on exactly what you are writing about. You will find that people offer a different point of view or perspective on the particular subject. A different perspective or a new idea can be very refreshing for your blog. To even go further, find those articles that offer new thoughts and respond to the author's thoughts.

Consider the benefits of using free content articles for your blog or website:

  • When you use other quality articles, you are offering your visitor with useful content, and in effect, your visitor comes back for more.
  • Using free web content will allow you to keep your blog fresh and updated on a daily basis with valuable information.
  • Other people's articles can inspire new thoughts and ideas for your blog.
How do you find quality free web content for your blog? When you find an article that you would like to put on your website, make sure you are permitted to actually use it. You can usually find that information right on the article page or the website's terms of service. When you are positive that you can use the article, read it over to make sure it is even applicable to your website. Do run it through a spell check to make sure that level of quality is portrayed in the article. If there are a bunch of errors, do not change the errors because that would violate the terms for the article. Instead, move on to finding another article. So do some searching and reading. Find that interesting web content and post that interesting web content for your readers! Delight your readers with something interesting and exciting!

8 Ways To Use A Blog To Develop Content For Your Book

1. Participate in the blogosphere: Read and comment on other blogs in your field. This is a prime way to build readership of your blog. It is also a way of getting fresh content for both your blog and for your book.

To check out other blogs in your niche: use www.blogsearch.google.com, www.technorati.com, or www.google.com.

This is also a good way to get ideas. What are other people in your field writing about? What are the major challenges of the people in your field? If you have competitors, check them out. They may be a great help in inspiring you for content ideas, different slants and perspectives. The old song, "Anything you can do, I can do better," comes to mind.

2. Ask readers to comment on your blog. In fact, each time you post something, ask them a question. Then spell it out to them on how to post a comment because your readers will probably need to be educated or at least encouraged to comment. ("Click on the comment link in the footer of this post, and leave your responses.")

Sometimes readers will need assurances of privacy, in which case, you can ask them to email you their questions or comments in private. Others are not worried about privacy because after all, a blog isn't meant to be private. However, readers can be shy about commenting, and need encouragement.

You may also encourage them to respond by telling them that you would like to use their replies in your book, but will only do so with their permission.

3. Survey your readers, do a mini-study on their preferences, their experiences, etc. The Internet is the fastest way to acquire some statistics of readers' preferences. Far from being a scientifically validated study that would pass muster in universities with academicians, an informal survey can give you ideas and material to write about. It can also confirm that you are addressing the concerns of your readers.

4. Run a contest for the best idea, funniest experience, most influential or heart-grabbing situation. If you want to use these readers' responses for content in your book, you should tell them. Many people jump at the chance to be included in a book. Others may prefer to participate anonymously. You can give them both options.

Here's an example of how one writer asked his readers for input:

Do You Have A Broken WIndows Story?
Michael Levine's new book, Broken WIndows, Broken Business is being released later this month. Many people feel this is going to be a mega best-seller.

We have set up a website, where you can rant about broken windows in your everyday experience... Check it out at BrokenWindows.com.

People love to share their experiences, and they love to rant, or rave. Just ask.

5. Ask your readers to attend a teleseminar based on the needs, challenges, concepts and ideas of your blog readers. This is a great way to go deeper into the problems and solutions you are writing about. You can record the sessions, transcribe the dialogue, convert the teleseminar to audio and PDF files. These can be sold, or given away as marketing materials for your book.

6. Use your blog site meter stats to examine what are the most popular articles posted. This information will guide you to expand on the topics and subtopics that capture the interests of readers.

7. Consistently reconnect with your passion, and ignite and inspire others with similar interests. After you've been blogging for awhile, you will probably develop good blogging habits:

a. Write something on your blog daily, or at least 2-3 times a week.

b. Read other blogs 2-3 times a week. Be sure to use the My Yahoo or other RSS feed buttons to subscribe to your favorite blogs, or sign up to get email updates through a FeedBlitz service on each blog.

c. Write with your readers in mind. And if you're not sure where their interests lie, ask them. If they've found your blog, and have subscribed, chances are you share a lot in common.

d. If you ever fall into blog-block, reconnect with your core purpose for the blog (remember, the one you wrote out before starting your blog?). When this happens there is usually a reason, although it may not be clear to you at the time. This will pass. You can help it along by asking questions – of your readers, yourself, your closest allies.

8. Podcasting – Create audio files easily by scheduling teleclasses and recording them. Some people like to get their information auditorily and at their convenience by downloading mp3 files to their iPods.

Use a free teleconferencing bridge line like http://www.freeconference.com to host a call. Record your call, upload the audio file and then post to your blog or podcast using a service like http://www.audioblog.com.

As an added benefit, you can get these calls transcribed; then convert the word doc to a PDF file which you can either give away, or sell, in exchange for people's email address; http://www.CastingWords.com is a fast, affordable transcription service.

Monitoring RSS Feeds

Measuring and tracking RSS while a fairly simple concept, is really anything but. Unlike websites, RSS have the added caveat of potential syndication, making accurate tracking a challenge to anyone but the extremely tech savvy.

It is not unrealistic for marketers to want to know how many subscribers they have, which items in their feeds attract the most interest, or how many click-throughs are generated as a result of an RSS feed.

There are a number of 3rd party providers who focus on tracking the consumption of RSS feeds. Some solutions are rudimentary but likely sufficient for a small business testing the waters with RSS. Other RSS tracking solutions are more complex and while they can come close to being accurate, with syndication there is no solution that tracks with 100% accuracy.

Techniques Used to track RSS Consumption
Small businesses can view web logs to provide information on how many times a specific file (RSS feed) is requested. The logs and information is rudimentary but will give a basic sense of a feeds success. Many 3rd party tracking options have additional tracking information available.

Hosting
The most common method to track the number of feed accesses or individuals accessing a feed is to use a 3rd party feed host. Companies like FeedBurner essentially track feeds based on accesses. The downside to using a 3rd party like Feedburner, is that the url is a FeedBurner url and any PageRank or popularity associated with the url will benefit the feed host rather than the feed creator. Additionally, no distinction is made between unique views or syndicate feeds.

FeedBurner provides a free no frills service to host RSS feeds and they have been proactive in circumventing user concerns. Recently implementing a service that eases users concerns about migrating from FeedBurner. There is a 3 step process for users interested in migrating from FeedBurner's free service, implementing a permanent redirect, and url forwarding.

Details can be found at: http://www.burningdoorc.om/feedburner/archives/001251.html

Some publishers, who were concerned about lock-in or wanted to retain control of the domain and feed urls often resist a hosting service. The new program FeedBurner Partner Pro is not free, but allows for users to point to their own domain, retaining complete control of their feeds without sacrificing statistical tracking.

The downside to using a service like FeedBurner is that some filtering applications used on corporate proxy servers block feeds residing on FeedBurner or other free hosts.

Redirects
Companies like SyndicateIQ have more complex tracking solutions that generate unique urls for each subscriber. The tracking benefits to such a customized solution is obvious. Individual user habits can be monitored and any users abusing their access and inappropriately syndicating a feeds content can have their feed turned off. The downside of course is that the success of RSS is in a large part due to the anonymity. Users don't want their personal habits tracked.

Considering the venture capital interest in these 3rd party hosting services. It is important to note that their value is in the data that they collect. As with any 3rd party service, it goes without saying that publishers should read the privacy policy carefully, be aware of who owns the rights to the collected information, and how that information might be used. It goes without saying that the value in many of the free services currently available lies in their aggregate data.

Uniquely Named Transparent Images
Uniquely named transparent 1x1 graphics can be added to the description field of an RSS feed. Users can use standard web logs to see the number of times the image is viewed and determine the number of times the feed was accessed.

The Dream of Easy Instant Profits

No doubt you have read all the hype about internet gurus making thousands of dollars profit a day. Well that's true, but only a select few actually achieve these fantastic results. Also, I am sure you have seen the adverts claiming how easy it is for you to make your fortune by purchasing some magic system that requires very little effort and will run on auto-pilot, generating massive profits for you month after month!

Does this sound familiar to you ?

Warning: If you are already making more than $ 10,000 a month from selling info products, then this report is NOT for you! This report is directed towards the following people:

* First timers who are thinking about making profits online.

* Those that have tried to make profit from selling info products, but have not been successful.

If you are still reading this report, I will assume that you want to discover how anyone can now make profits online from selling info products.YES – it is possible to make money from selling info products and there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to do so as well.

I was one of those internet failures who spent endless hours chasing the dream of easy money … in return all I ended up with, was an empty wallet, frustrated, de-motivated and confused. Just about ready to cut my losses and quit, I decided to give it one more try. However, this time I was going to try a completely different approach.

Instead of trying to get instant success, I vowed to put in lots of honest hard effort and learn everything I could about internet marketing and making profit online. It took me over 12 months of trial and error, before I could finally claim to have made a success of my internet marketing venture. Not enough to retire on (yet), but enough to make a life changing impact.

Looking back on my own experiences, I realized that anyone could make a healthy profit online and a lot quicker if only they knew what to do and how to do it. The internet is a vast place, providing endless opportunities for people to find entertainment, gain knowledge or make money.

Just about everything you want to know about almost any subject can be found there and in many cases for little or no cost. The problem most people experience is information overload as there is so much information available and that makes it even more difficult to decide what to use and when to stop researching.

For a "newbie" (buzzword for someone new to the internet) the internet can be a daunting and lonely place. I can recall thinking many times:

"If only I had a buddy that understood the difficulties I was experiencing and could give answers to themany things that I didn't understand" I am pretty sure that something similar has been experienced by most people who make their first attempts at trying to make profits from online marketing.

Maybe it's even happened to you?

As an ex "newbie" myself, I realized that the knowledge I gained in creating my first successful online home business would be of immense value to anyone wanting to do the same. This was the inspiration to share my success by creating the "Internet Business Buddy" system· Anyone starting out to create a successful online business, can now benefit from the advice of their internet buddy.
